When Did You Last Actually Choose What You Ate?
Most of us have a trolley that looks the same every week. Did you choose it — or are you just repeating?
Think about what you bought last time you went to the supermarket.
Did you choose it? Or did you just reach for the same things you always reach for?
Most of us have a trolley that looks roughly the same every week. Same bread. Same milk. Same cereal. We call it preference. A lot of the time it's just habit — shaped by what our parents bought, what was on special when we first moved out of home, what the packaging told us was healthy.
That's not a criticism. It's just worth noticing.
This week we're asking you to notice. Not to change everything. Not to go organic overnight. Just to look at a few of the things you eat every day and ask — did I actually choose this? Do I know what's in it? Would I choose it again if I was starting from scratch?
That's it. That's the first challenge.
Today, pick one thing in your kitchen. Something you eat regularly. Read the label. Look at the ingredients. Ask yourself honestly — do I know what half of these are?
You don't have to do anything with the answer. Just notice.
