Good food can feel strangely hidden. The best options are often spread across farmers’ markets, organic shops, refill stores, local growers, online suppliers, and small businesses that do not always show up clearly when you search for them.

This page is here to make that easier.

It is being built as a practical guide to places in New Zealand where you can find better food, with a focus on organic, regenerative, low-spray, local, and more transparent food systems.

How to use this page

If you are new to all this, do not worry about finding the “perfect” place straight away.

A good way to begin is:
